It is best not to drink alcohol while using this medicine.

This medicine can change the way other many medicines work. Make sure your doctor knows if you are using an MAO inhibitor (such as Marplan®, Parnate®, Nardil®, or Eldepryl®), carbamazepine (Tegretol®), phenobarbital, rifampin, theophylline, ketoconazole (Nizoral®), itraconazole (Sporanox®), cyclosporine (Neoral®, Sandimmune®), phenytoin (Dilantin®), warfarin (Coumadin®), diazepam (Valium®), propranolol (Inderal®), antidepressants (such as clomipramine or desipramine), or any other medicine.

Talk with your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.

Check with your doctor before using this medicine if you have a heart beat that is not normal, chest pain, high blood pressure, kidney disease, liver disease, or a history of mental illness, heart problems, a heart attack, or drug abuse.
